Steve Dunham's little hole-in-the-wall surfshop in Nosara. Steve shaped for Brewer in Hawaii at one time, and produces exquisite custom surfboards using local Costa Rican balsa.
Steve is an old-school craftsman, and does it all, and does it better than almost anybody else.
Meanwhile, back in Nosara...
But if you'd like something a bit fancier perhaps, well then, that too can be arranged. Check out the Timarai, down south of the Jaco area, in the town of Parrita.
Everybody that I talked to, before going to Parrita, insisted that there was no surf there.
Uh, ok. Sure. Sure thing. Whatever.
And as a final send-off, I'll just leave a little something right here by way of confirmation that there are other, less well-known, left pointbreaks in Costa Rica.
Ok then, that's enough for now, maybe see you on the next one.
